How we handle personal information, under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013.

Who we are
Provelis is a joint go-to-market brand. This website is operated by SmartImage (Pty) Ltd, First floor, Building 2, Delta Park, 749 Rubenstein Avenue, Moreleta Park, Pretoria 0181. Services sold under the Provelis name are contracted by Zuzani Group under a separate service agreement, and that agreement sets out how personal information in your documents is handled.
This notice covers information collected through this website and through enquiries. It does not cover the documents we process for a client under a service agreement: for those we act on the client's instructions as an operator, and the service agreement governs.
What we collect, and why
- Enquiry details
- Your name, the name of your practice, your email address, your phone number if you give it, and whatever you write in the message. We use these to reply to you and to prepare for a conversation. Nothing else.
- Technical information
- Our web server records requests, which includes IP addresses, in order to run and secure the site. We use privacy-preserving analytics hosted by us rather than a third-party advertising network, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers on this site.
Who we share it with
Enquiries are shared between the Provelis partners, SmartImage (Pty) Ltd and Zuzani Group, because both are involved in responding to you. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else except where the law requires it.
Where it is kept
Enquiry information is held on infrastructure in South Africa. If that ever changes we will update this notice before it does.
How long we keep it
We keep an enquiry for as long as it takes to deal with it, and then for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us. If you ask us to delete it we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and object to how we use it. Write to info@provelis.co.za and we will respond within a reasonable time.
You may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa. Their contact details are published on the Regulator's website.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. If a compromise occurs that affects your personal information, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.
Changes
If this notice changes we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be brought to the attention of anyone who has an open enquiry with us.
